Trip Itinerary

Fri July 14:                  Taking the Rocky Road to Dublin

In the merry month of July, from our homes we will start our journey by flying across the United States and taking an overnight flight across the Atlantic Sea to Ireland.

Sat July 15:                  Welcome Irish Rovers

This morning we will land in Dublin Airport. Proceed to the arrivals area to meet your Cara Group Travel representative who will lead you to your transfer to Dublin City, Ireland’s small capital with a huge reputation. We will arrive at our hotel to check-in and pick up up your Dublin Freedom Ticket at the Hospitality Desk located in the hotel lobby. Explore the city at your own pace with the Dublin Freedom Ticket, granting you the freedom of the city at your dispense. For 3 consecutive days, enjoy unlimited journeys on Dublin Bus and the Green Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour. Join a sightseeing tour with Pat Liddy Walking Tours (also included) and enjoy Dublin in your own way!

Dublin is of course famous for its nightlife but it is not uncommon to find a crowded pub at any hour of the day. With your Dublin Freedom Ticket and between quiet pints, consider visiting The Guinness Storehouse to enjoy a complimentary pint at the Gravity Bar whilst overlooking the entire city or relax in the landscaped hectares of Dublin’s most popular green lung, St Stephen’s Green. Later, celebrate your first night in Ireland at the cultural heart of Dublin City, The Temple Bar. This area on the south bank of the River Liffey is bursting with pubs, restaurants, galleries and great craic each and every night – enjoy! Overnight: Clayton Hotel Burlington Road

Sun Jul 16:                  The Boys Are Back

Refuel on a hearty Irish breakfast this morning and enjoy exploring with your Freedom Ticket the sights, sounds and tastes of Dublin in the summer. Later, The Dropkick Murphys take to the stage with The Fratellis’s for an unforgettable evening. Meet at the hotel (Time TBC) to be transferred to The Iveagh Gardens for tonight’s show and an exclusive pre-show DKM fan event, specially organized by the band for you!

Enjoy exclusive access at Fan Village and a meet and greet with the Dropkick Murphys. Have access to the Hospitality Tent, fitted with games, comfortable seating and music for your enjoyment – the perfect setting to fill up on a complimentary BBQ and a complimentary 2 pints! With separate access to the bar and priority entrance to the venture, this is the perfect way to prepare for tonight’s concert at 7pm at The Iveagh Gardens. Overnight: Clayton Hotel Burlington Road

Mon Jul 17:                 Out On The Town

After last night’s amazing concert, there is perhaps no better city than Dublin to spend a day relaxing and recovering from the night before. Enjoy a leisurely Irish breakfast and decide how to spend your last day using your Dublin Freedom Pass. Consider dropping in with the Irish Whiskey experts at The Old Jameson Distillery or acquiring a unique lesson in Irish history at Kilmainham Gaol. Take the 31/a bus from Talbot Street to visit the pretty port village of Howth, a major fishing center which boosts scenic views, coastal walk and craft markets.

Celebrate your last night in Dublin by enjoying the city’s fantastic nightlife and its pub-to-person ratio which is the envy of many cities, for in the back of the bar, they were sure havin’ fun! Overnight: Clayton Hotel Burlington Road

Tue Jul 18:                  Time to Go

After an exceptionally few days in Dublin, pack your bags as we take you back to Dublin Airport where you will board your flight for home. Carry on your photos and memories and bring a bit of the Dropkicks & the Emerald Isle home with you. ‘The Land of One Hundred Thousand Welcomes’ will be expecting you again soon.
