Suggested Itinerary
Aug 16th:
Departure the U.S. on an overnight flight to Ireland. All transatlantic flights will arrive in Ireland the following morning.
Aug 17th:
Arrive into Shannon Airport and pick up your rental car. Before journeying south, visit the mighty Cliffs of Moher just west of Shannon. Spend some time in village Doolin before setting off for Tralee and the festivities.
Aug 18th:
Spend some time in Tralee and soak in the festival atmosphere. Visit the ‘Jewel of Kerry’, Killarney National Park and visit Muckross House & Gardens
Aug 19th:
Have an early start to reach Galway. Enjoy Galway City renowned for Irish hospitality or explore the famous Connemara countryside. Squeeze in a visit to OPW Heritage Site, Patrick Pearse Cottage on the way back.
Aug 20th:
Leave Kerry for its neighbor Cork. Set out for the picturesque town of Kinsale and visit Desmond Castle & International Museum of Wine. Return to Tralee via Bantry & Kenmare, famed for their beautiful locations.
Aug 21st:
Have a day well spent at the majestic Ring of Kerry. Return to enjoy your last night in Ireland and the celebrations at the Rose of Tralee Festival.
Aug 22nd:
Return your car to Shannon Airport and get your return flight back to the U.S.
