Your Trip Itinerary
Day 0: Departure From the U.S.
Tonight, you will board your transatlantic flight to Ireland. This morning, we will land at Dublin Airport. Once we have gone through passport control and have collected our bags, we will board our private coach.
Day 1: Welcome to the Emerald Isle
Our Irish adventure begins in the heart if the Emerald Isle with a panoramic tour of Dublin, a city steeped in history and alive in energy. Nestled along the River Liffey and framed by the gentle curve of Dublin Bay and the Wicklow Mountains beyond, Dublin has long served as a cultural and political crossroads. From its Gaelic and Viking origins to centuries of English influence, the city’s storied past is etched into its striking architectural tapestry — where medieval castles, elegant Georgian townhouses, Gothic Revival landmarks, and bold modern structures coexist in harmony.
As we transverse the city’s grand avenues and charming cobbled streets, we’ll pass iconic sights such as Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and O’Connell Street, all while gaining insight into the people and moments that have shaped this capital. Following our exploration, we’ll enjoy some leisure time to stroll, shop, or sip a pint.

Day 2: Into the West, Galway & Westport
After breakfast, we’ll set off westward toward the wild beauty of Irelan’s Atlantic coast. Along the way we’ll stop in the heart of Ireland at Sean’s Bar in Athlone, recognized as the oldest pub in Ireland, with roots tracing back to 900 AD. During renovations in the 1970s, sections of the ancient walls were discovered to be made from wattle and daub, a traditional building material that speaks to the bar’s remarkable longevity. Stepping into Sean’s is like stepping back in time, where every beam and stone holds centuries of stories.
From Athlone, we continue to the lively harbor city of Galway, a cultural gem known for its bohemian spirit and vibrant street life. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy lunch and some free time to explore at your leisure. A great place to begin its Eyre Square, the bustling heart of the city center. From there, stroll down Quay Street, a colorful pedestrian lane brimming with local shops, cafes, and traditional pubs echoing with live music. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh Atlantic seafood, a creamy pint of Guinness, or a bit of local flair, Galway offers a little something for everyone.

Day 3: Wild Beauty, Achill Island
Today, we’ll explore the dramatic landscapes of Achill Island, known for its rugged mountains, sandy beaches, and cinematic scenery. The island served as a backdrop for The Banshees of Inisherin, with stops including Keem Bay, Cloughmore, and Purteen Pier.
We’ll visit the haunting Deserted Village at the foot of Slievemore Mountain, a 12th-century settlement abandoned in the 20th century, with nearby megalithic tombs dating back to the 3rd and 4th centuries BC.
A stop at the Achill Island Distillery, Ireland’s first island-based distillery, offers a taste of local craftsmanship before we return to Westport, where the evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Dinner is on your own tonight.

Day 4: Northward Bound, Sheepdogs & Donegal Town
This morning, we bid farewell to Westport and journey north through the breathtaking landscapes of the Wild Atlantic Way. Along the way, we’ll stop at Atlantic Sheepdogs, a working sheep farm where age-old traditions of sheepdog herding are kept alive. Here, we’ll gain insight into the remarkable bond between handler and dog and witness a live demonstration showcasing the dogs’ incredible skill, discipline, and precision.
Afterward, we will continue to the charming town of Donegal, nestled at the mouth of the River Eske and along the edge of sweeping Donegal Bay. Surrounded by the majestic Bluestack Mountains and rugged coastal beauty, Donegal Town is a vibrant market town rich in history and heritage, a perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary culture.

Day 5: Cliffs, Craft, and Charm, Slieve League & Donegal
Today’s journey takes us to the awe-inspiring Slieve League Cliffs, among the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Towering nearly 2,000 feet above the crashing Atlantic, these dramatic cliffs offer panoramic views and a truly unforgettable experience of Ireland’s wild and untamed coastline.
From there, we continue to Triona Design, a fifth-generation, family-owned weaving house known for crafting high-quality Irish Tweed garments. Here, tradition meets timeless style as we learn about the artistry and heritage behind one of Ireland’s most iconic textiles.
Later, we return to Donegal Town, where the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. Explore The Diamond, the town’s lively central square, lined with inviting cafés, artisan shops, and traditional pubs echoing with live music. Don’t miss the chance to visit Donegal Castle, a restored 15th-century fortress built by the O’Donnell chieftains, offering a rich glimpse into the region’s Gaelic and colonial history.

Day 6: Walls & Wonders, Derry and Giant's Causeway
Today, we journey into Northern Ireland, beginning with a visit to the historic city of Londonderry/Derry. Upon arrival, we’ll be joined by a knowledgeable local guide for a walking tour through the only fully walled city in Ireland. As we stroll along the ancient ramparts and winding streets, we’ll explore the city’s rich and often complex history, from early settlements to pivotal moments in more recent times.
Following our time in Derry, we continue to one of Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders, the Giant’s Causeway. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, made up of over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, is steeped in both geological significance and legendary lore.
According to Irish mythology, the Causeway was created by the giant Fionn Mac Cumhaill (Finn McCool) during a feud with his formidable Scottish rival, Benandonner. To confront him, Finn built a stone bridge across the sea, but upon realizing Benandonner’s massive size, he retreated home. With clever thinking, Finn’s wife disguised him as a baby. When Benandonner saw the “child,” he panicked, imagining the father to be a true giant, and fled back to Scotland, destroying the bridge in his wake and leaving behind the dramatic landscape we see today.
After taking in the striking beauty and stories of the Causeway, we’ll continue our journey to the vibrant city of Belfast, where the next chapter of our adventure awaits.

Day 7: A Capital Experience, Exploring Belfast
Belfast over the years have gone through many hash times and the city has endured the most hardship than any other country or city in Europe.
Today, we explore Belfast, the vibrant capital of Northern Ireland, a city shaped by a rich industrial heritage, political history, and a modern spirit of renewal. We’ll begin with a panoramic tour of the city, taking in notable sights such as City Hall, the Queen’s Quarter, and the colorful political murals that reflect Belfast’s complex past and evolving identity.
A highlight of the day will be a visit to the world-renowned Titanic Belfast Museum, located on the very site where the ill-fated RMS Titanic was designed, built, and launched. Through interactive exhibits and striking displays, we’ll uncover the story of the ship, the people who built her, and the legacy she left behind.
Following our time at the museum, enjoy some free time exploring the city center at your own pace. From high street shopping to cozy pubs and chic restaurants, Belfast offers something for every taste.
