Cara Group Travel was established in 2012 by Sara Stanton. Sara was born in County Mayo Ireland and for the past 20 years, she has worked in the travel industry in the United States. The passion, expertise, experience and genuine personal touch offered by Sara is what makes booking with CGT the perfect choice.

Kay comes to Cara Group Travel with over 20 years of travel experience. Kay’s family came from Galway and with ties to Tyrone and Donegal, she is your true Irish-American. With Kay’s vast experience, love of Ireland, eye for accounts and dedication to excellent customer service, you and your group are in expert hands.

Danny joined Cara in October 2023. He grew up in Dorchester, in the heart of Boston’s Irish community. Danny has a background in Operations Management & Leadership, as well as an MBA from the University of Liverpool (UK). While living “across the pond”, he explored his passion for sport and travel, experiencing the different cultures and cities across Europe. Now he is eager to help others live out their dreams of experiencing the charms of Ireland and beyond!

Kristen is an experienced business development and sales professional with a strong background in relationship management, team leadership, and revenue growth. Throughout her career, Kristen has helped organizations achieve sales goals, improve operational effectiveness, and deliver exceptional experiences for both clients and employees. She loves to travel, backpacking for 4 months to 10 different countries in 2025, and is excited to bring her experience to the Cara team!

Kiernan joined Cara in February of 2024. Born and raised in the beautiful state of Vermont, Kiernan brings a blend of creative flair and strategic thinking to Cara Group Travel. He studied Art at Front Range Community College and Graphic Design at Colorado State University. He’s excited to share different culture’s, food, art, history and landscapes while featuring personal stories from our clients.

Maureen joined Cara Group Travel in February 2025, bringing nearly two decades of experience in the marina industry—and enough sea stories to last a lifetime. Prior to that, she spent five years at State Street, honing her organizational savvy and strategic insight. A proud Quincy native with a degree in accounting and a classic New England work ethic, Maureen blends precision with poise. Her deep Irish roots fuel her warmth, wit, and strong sense of community, qualities she brings to every interaction. Whether she’s coordinating logistics or keeping the team anchored, Maureen leads with heart, humor, and a can-do spirit that makes everyone feel like family.

Adam joined the team in the spring of 2022 and is a recent graduate of Merrimack College. He grew up in Rochester, NY and brings his Irish heritage to the Cara Group Travel Team. Adam has an extensive background in hockey, golf, and baseball and now officiates ice hockey at the high school, junior, and collegiate level. He loves to travel and can’t wait to join our teams in Ireland and beyond.

Samantha is one of our newer team members. Growing up on the South Shore of Boston, she originally got the travel bug after her first trip to England in 2005. Samantha lived in Bologna, Italy in 2019, where she was able to travel throughout Europe, and has continued to go back to explore new countries since then. She has spent many years planning and securing trips for friends and family, now she is thrilled to help others experience Ireland, Europe, and beyond!

Shannon joined Cara Group Travel in June 2025. A recent graduate of Merrimack College, she’s excited to channel her lifelong passion for Irish culture into global adventures. After 15 years as a competitive Irish Step dancer, Shannon knows a things or two about timing, tenacity, and a little bit of sparkle. Growing up in Marshfield, fondly known as the Irish Riveria, she blends coastal ease with Celtic roots. Shannon brings rhythm, heart, and a whole lot of spirit to the team.

Melita our dynamic Director of Operations in Ireland who keeps everything running smoothly. With 20+ years of experience in the Tourism Industry she is a wealth of knowledge for all the new team members. Loved by our clients for her welcoming smile and passion for delivering the best program ever. While she is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, you will often find her at Dublin Airport, a hotel in London or on a coach meeting and greeting our clients. She is from Wales and has a serious passion for Rugby.
